A team of teachers and staff from the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine has completed the course “Research Integrity”<\/p>\n
For several weeks, participants delved into the basics of academic ethics, discussed real-life cases of violations, learned to recognize unethical practices in research, and looked for effective ways to prevent them.<\/p>\n
The first meeting on March 11 was held by Artem Artyukhov, an expert in academic integrity. Participants spoke about:
\nkey principles of research integrity;
\nwhy academic ethics are important not only in science, but also in professional life;
\nexamples of violations and tools for combating them.<\/p>\n
The course program included 7 online meetings that covered a wide range of topics \u2014 from transparency of the research process to inter-institutional cooperation in the field of academic integrity.<\/p>\n
All participants who successfully completed the final assignment received certificates of advanced training worth 3 ECTS credits.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis course helped us to understand even more deeply the importance of ethical behavior in scientific research, to increase our own professional responsibility and to become an example for students,\u201d the program participants noted.<\/p>\n
MAEM continues to systematically develop a culture of academic integrity as an integral part of ensuring the quality of education.
