MAEM employees and teachers successfully completed the advanced training course “Research Integrity”
A team of teachers and staff from the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine has completed the course “Research Integrity”
For several weeks, participants delved into the basics of academic ethics, discussed real-life cases of violations, learned to recognize unethical practices in research, and looked for effective ways to prevent them.
The first meeting on March 11 was held by Artem Artyukhov, an expert in academic integrity. Participants spoke about:
key principles of research integrity;
why academic ethics are important not only in science, but also in professional life;
examples of violations and tools for combating them.
The course program included 7 online meetings that covered a wide range of topics — from transparency of the research process to inter-institutional cooperation in the field of academic integrity.
All participants who successfully completed the final assignment received certificates of advanced training worth 3 ECTS credits.
“This course helped us to understand even more deeply the importance of ethical behavior in scientific research, to increase our own professional responsibility and to become an example for students,” the program participants noted.
MAEM continues to systematically develop a culture of academic integrity as an integral part of ensuring the quality of education.
Such initiatives form a new educational culture based on honesty, trust and respect for science.
