Information about the Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine is a structural subdivision of the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine, which carries out educational, methodological, and scientific research activities with the aim of training and educating a young person who will be able to independently solve complex political, economic, social, cultural and other problems of modern society.

The faculty unites relevant departments, laboratories, and other divisions for the training of specialists in certain fields of knowledge, conducting scientific research, educational and cultural and educational work.

The Medical Faculty of the Academy administratively unites the following departments:

  • Department of Medical and Fundamental Disciplines;
  • Department of Stomatology;
  • Department of Social Medicine and Humanitarian Disciplines;
  • Department of Internal Medicine with a course in Psychiatry and Narcology;
  • Department of Surgery.

In its activities, the Faculty is guided by the Laws of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, “On Education”, “On Languages”, norms of the Constitution of Ukraine, norms and principles of international law in force in Ukraine, other regulatory legal acts of Ukraine, the Statute of the Academy, these Regulations.

The main areas of activity of the faculty:

  • Training of specialists at the specialist and master’s educational and qualification levels;
  • Planning, organization, and management of educational, methodical, and research work at the faculty;
  • Control over educational and methodical, research and educational activities of the departments of the faculty;
  • Approval of work plans and reports on the work of departments for the year;
  • Control together with the heads of departments and the educational and methodological department on the quality of lectures, laboratory and practical classes, seminars, educational and industrial practice, and other types of educational activities;
  • Organization of attendance at classes and recording of students’ performance, students’ maintenance of records of performance and class attendance, completion of credit and examination information, management of study cards and other student documentation;
  • Control over the implementation of the schedule of educational classes, rational use of the classroom fund;
  • Development and implementation of measures to improve the educational process in order to improve the quality of specialist training;
  • Control and analysis of the state of educational and labor discipline, control over attendance of educational classes by students;
  • Admission of students to take and retake the final control, to the licensing integrated exams “KROK-1” and “KROK-2” and to take the state final exams;
  • Summarizing the study results of students of academic groups according to the information, according to the information of the heads of departments about the academic debt of students for each month, for half a semester, for a semester in accordance with the current regulatory and legal documents;
  • Analysis and control over the timely liquidation of students’ academic debt, cooperation on these issues with the heads of departments;
  • Issuance of academic certificates for expelled students;
  • Organization of work of student self-government at the faculty;
  • Control over the implementation of the plan for the preparation of textbooks, educational and methodical guides by departments in the relevant discipline;
  • General management of students’ scientific work conducted in departments, scientific circles, and scientific societies;
  • Submission of materials for the promotion, awarding, and collection of students, teachers, and employees;
  • Preparation of the annual report on the work of the dean’s office;
  • Management of records and educational and methodological documentation in accordance with the nomenclature of cases for the dean’s office approved by the Academy;
  • Control and submission of files to the archive, ensuring that all documents and stamps of the Dean’s Office are kept in good condition;
  • Control over the training of scientific and pedagogical staff, masters, postgraduate students, and clinical residents at the departments of the faculty;
  • Control of the conduct of scientific research work by departments of the faculty and the implementation of scientific developments in the practice of health care;
  • Control of regular updating by departments of materials on the educational portal of the University.

RECENT NEWS

Within the framework of the international INCLUDE ME+ project, the online course “Digital Media for Inclusive Peacebuilding” has been introduced, offering new opportunities for developing digital competences, intercultural dialogue, and inclusive education. The course is designed to promote a modern approach to using digital media as a tool for social change, participation, and peacebuilding.
