The faculty trains specialists of the educational and qualification levels “specialist” and “master” in accordance with the educational and qualification characteristics and educational and professional programs of study plans in the specialty “Dentistry”.

Students receive basic knowledge in theoretical and clinical departments. Students acquire basic medical skills during practical training at clinical and specialized dental institutions in Kyiv.

Students have the opportunity to undergo clinical training using modern advanced methods of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of patients with a dental profile. The possibilities of modern computer technology and the latest equipment are widely used in the educational, scientific medical, and diagnostic process. During the course of study, students take the license test exams: “KROK-1” in the third year and “KROK-2” in the fifth year.

Scientific directions of the department of the faculty:

• improvement of methods of treatment of children with congenital defects of the upper lip and palate, patients with jaw fractures, cancer, and osteogenesis (surgical dentistry).
• development and testing of methods of treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases with drugs of prolonged action (Department of Therapeutic Dentistry).
• orthopedic treatment of major dental diseases and development of new technologies and methods of manufacturing dental prostheses (orthopedic dentistry).
• epidemiology of dental diseases in children and the connection of the oral cavity with general somatic diseases, prevention of dental caries (Industrial medical practice (Medical practice with children’s dentistry).
• improvement of diagnostics and development of effective methods of treatment of pathology of the middle and inner ear, congenital and acquired deafness in children; 
• study of the condition of the middle ear in children with congenital non-unions of the palate and lip; 
• development of new methods of treatment of allergic and bacterial rhinosinusitis pathology of the lymphadenitis ring of the pharynx; 
• studying the epidemiology of oncological diseases of the ENT organs, improving the methods of early diagnosis of laryngeal cancer metastases, and treatment methods; 
• thrifty surgery on the bony skeleton of the nose and paranasal sinuses; 
• phytotherapy and reflexology of inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract and ear.
• development of new operational interventions; plastic and reconstructive surgery; tissue transplantation; surgical anatomy of the circulatory system.

Main functions of the department

Department of Stomatology:

• Organizes the implementation of educational, research, and educational work at the faculty: monitors the quality of the department’s implementation of educational plans and programs, the schedule of the educational process, and the schedule of classes; controls the quality of the department’s implementation of the schedule of the examination session and the procedure for conducting examinations; controls the quality of educational and production practices;
• Organizes the work of the heads of groups with the dean’s office in order to receive weekly operational information about the status of students attending lectures and practical classes;
• Admits students to examination sessions and to passing licensing exams KROK-1, KROK-2, and practical-oriented state exams, defense of diploma theses;
• Supervises production practice for students of the faculty;
• Provides the information department of relations with EDEBO with the necessary information for issuing and issuing student tickets and their annexes;
• Organizes and controls the transfer of students from one course to another, from one form of education to another, granting of academic leaves, re-training, inter-university transfer, expulsion, renewal, graduation, change of surnames, and management of the student contingent;
• Conducts informational and advertising activities regarding the faculty and the Academy in order to increase the rating of the Academy;
• Prepares the report of the head of the DEC on the faculty, and submits a plan for the implementation of the comments of the head of the DEC for approval by the Academic Council of the Academy;
• Conducts work on the collection of financial debt for education. Acquaints students with existing financial debts prevent students from taking classes;
• Participates in the work of the Academy’s Admissions Committee. Makes recommendations to the admissions committee regarding the semester for which the student is proposed to be renewed.

State certification

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” (No. 1556 dated 01.07.2014), Sectoral Standards of Higher Education for the field of training 1101 “Medicine” (order of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine dated 16.04.2003 No. 239. order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 28.07.2003 No. 504) , letter of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine dated 01.20.2015 No. 1/9-19 “Regarding the organization of attestation of applicants in higher education and the organization of the educational process”, Regulations on the organization and procedure of state attestation of students studying in higher educational institutions of III – IV levels of accreditation according to direction of training “Medicine” (order dated 31.01.05 No. 53); Regulations on the system of license integrated examinations (order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 14.08.1998 No. 251); Regulations on the procedure for organizing and conducting attestation of higher education applicants (protocol No. 10 dated 05/27/2020) and for the purpose of preparing and conducting attestation of higher education applicants of the Faculty of Medicine at the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine at PVNZ in accordance with the training plans of specialists of the educational and qualification level “Specialist” qualification “Dentist” (approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 24.03.2015 p.), “Doctor” (order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 08.07.2010 No. 539) in higher educational institutions of Ukraine of the III-IV level of accreditation, a comprehensive exam in dentistry was held for students of higher education.
