History of the Department

The department was founded in 2018.

Clinical bases are the Kyiv Clinical Hospital on Railway Transport No. 1, the branch of “Health Center” PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” and State University “Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology named after Academician O.M. Lukyanova National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”

Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences

Higher medical category in pediatrics and children’s gastroenterology. She has the certificates of a doctor – a specialist in ultrasound diagnostics since 2002 and a doctor – a specialist in the endoscopic examination of the gastrointestinal tract since 2009.

In 1991, she graduated from the pediatric faculty of the Kharkiv Medical Institute. After completing her internship in 1992, she worked for five years in Polyclinic No. 1 of City Children’s Hospital No. 23 in Kharkiv, first as a district doctor, and then as the head of the pediatric department. From 1997 to 2005, she worked at the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology of the Kharkiv Postgraduate Medical Academy. From 2005 to the present, he worked at the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 of O.O. Bogomolets In 2000, she defended her PhD thesis. In 2012, she defended her doctoral thesis. The academic title “Professor” was awarded in 2015.

27 years of work experience, 18 years of research and teaching experience.

Scientific interests are related to children’s gastroenterology and allergology. The author of 140 printed works, monographs, a manual with the stamp of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for students of higher medical institutions of the IV level of accreditation, 6 patents, 16 methodological recommendations; co-author of the textbook “Pediatrics” with the seal of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for students of higher medical institutions of the IV level of accreditation with Ukrainian, Russian and English language training. According to the Google Scholar database, the Hirsch index = 3.

Under her supervision, 2 PhD theses were officially defended.

Bobrova V.I. is a member of the specialized academic council D 26.553.01 at the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Member of the Association of Children’s Gastroenterologists and Nutritionists of Ukraine, member of the Association of Pediatricians of Ukraine.

Gorobets Anastasia Oleksandrivna

Associate professor of the department, candidate of medical sciences

In 2004, she graduated from the medical faculty of the Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pirogov, majoring in “Medical business”. From 2005 to the present, he has been working at the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 of NMU named after O.O. Bogomolets: 2005-2007 – senior laboratory technician, 2007-2014 – assistant, since 2014 – in the position of associate professor.

In 2009, she defended her PhD thesis. Research and teaching experience is 13 years. He is a co-author of three manuals and a textbook in English for English-speaking students and a developer of methodical recommendations for students of 2-6 years of English-language education. He is the author of 50 scientific and educational-methodological works, a manual and textbook for English-speaking students, and 1 patent for a utility model.

Dmytro Oleksandrovych Minchenko

Graduated from the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets in 2008, was accepted to the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets for the position of senior laboratory technician. From 2010, assistant in the department, from 2014 to the present – associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 of NMU.

From 2008 to the present, a researcher at the Department of Molecular Biology of the Institute of Biochemistry named after O.V. Paladin of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The PhD thesis was defended in February 2010.

Practical activity: management of newborns in the maternity department of the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. The field of scientific interest is neonatology.

Yulia Oleksandrivna Savenko

Pediatric allergist, II medical category in pediatrics.

She graduated from O.O. Bogomolets in 2007. Worked at the department since 2018; worked on the organization and conduct of classes with students of 2-6 years.

In 2015, she defended her PhD thesis. Author and co-author of 23 scientific works, 1 patent for an invention, and 1 patent for a utility model.

Performs medical and advisory work in the children’s department of DKL No. 1st. Kyiv.

Educational and methodical work

Students from the 3rd to the 6th year majoring in “Medical Business” study at the department.

In the third year, students study propaedeutics of pediatrics (anatomical and physiological features of the child’s body, assessment of physical and psychomotor development, methods of researching the child’s organs and systems, feeding children in the first 3 years of life, semiotics of the main children’s diseases). In the 4th year, students study faculty, and in the 5th year – hospital pediatrics.

Students in the 6th year are subordinated, and at the same time, they supervise patients in a polyclinic and a hospital. In order to activate the cognitive activity of students, the independent work of students under the supervision of teachers is widely practiced in the department.
