The University actively strengthens scientific cooperation with leading institutions in Ukraine
Today, the rector of May, Prof. Ivan Savytsky, officially signed an agreement with the Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (UkrNII MT MOH of Ukraine), which opens a new page in the scientific work of the university.
The Institute of Transport Medicine is a state scientific research institution that traces its history back to 1975, when the forensic hygiene laboratory of the Research Institute of Water Transport Hygiene of the Ministry of Health of the USSR was established in the city of Odesa. In 1991, the institution was given its modern name and its scope of activity was expanded to include all types of transport: water, rail, aviation, and automobile.
Within the framework of the new agreement, the university and the institute plan to jointly implement scientific projects, exchange material and technical resources, and involve graduate students and young scientists in research on transport medicine, occupational health, and the ecology of transport systems. This should strengthen the university’s position in the scientific field, improve the quality of research, and create new opportunities for students and teachers.
Prof. Savytsky noted that “signing this agreement is an important step in the development of our scientific potential, because cooperation with such a reputable institution as the UkrNII MT of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine opens up prospects for us to implement the results of scientific research into practice and train highly qualified personnel.”
It is expected that the first joint research topics will be announced in the coming months, and the results will be presented at international conferences and published in professional journals.
