Buddy Program
Buddy Program
Buddy Program is a university initiative where senior students (mentors or “buddies”) assist newcomers (freshmen or international students) in adapting to university life and studies.
The program aims to provide mutual support, helping new students adjust socially, academically, and culturally to university life.
Key aspects of the Buddy Program:
Social Adaptation:
The program helps newcomers feel like part of the university community more quickly.
Informational Support:
Mentors share valuable insights about the university, its rules, resources, and campus life.
Cross-Cultural Exchange:
For international students, the program helps them understand the local culture and traditions, while mentors get the chance to experience new cultures.
Psychological Support:
The buddy becomes the first point of contact for newcomers, helping them overcome fears, uncertainty, and social isolation.
How to find your Buddy?
Your buddy will meet you on the first day of studies. You’ll exchange contact information and create a chat for communication.
