Incoming Exchange Students
Study at the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF ECOLOGY AND MEDICINE within academic mobility programs
The INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF ECOLOGY AND MEDICINE welcomes students from partner institutions worldwide who wish to spend a semester or year studying in Ukraine within Erasmus+, Global Exchange, bilateral agreements or individual mobility programs.
Studying at MAEM is an opportunity to gain international academic experience, discover a new culture and earn credits that will be recognized at your university.

Who can apply
You can participate in the exchange program if you:
- are a bachelor’s or master’s level student at a MAEM partner institution;
- have completed at least 1 year of study at the time of application;
- have English or Ukrainian language proficiency at B2 level (or equivalent);
- have passed the selection process at your home university.
Application deadlines
- Fall semester (September–January): by May 15
- Spring semester (February–June): by November 15
(For short-term visits or individual mobility programs, flexible deadlines are possible.)
Study program
After nomination by your university, you will have access to:
- Catalog of academic disciplines in English and Ukrainian;
- Academic Calendar (MAEM academic calendar);
- Study plans of relevant programs.
Your Learning Agreement must be agreed between you, your home HEI and MAEM before the start of studies.
How to apply
- Nomination
Your university sends an official nomination to:
- 📝 Document submission
After nomination you will receive instructions and a link to the online form. Required documents:- Passport copy
- Academic transcript with grades (Transcript of Records)
- Learning Agreement (completed and signed)
- Language proficiency certificate (or official letter from your university)
- Invitation letter
After successful application review you will receive an official invitation letter from MAEM, which can be used for visa or migration procedures. - Arrival and orientation program
Before the start of studies we organize an Orientation Week with tours, meetings with student parliament and administration.
Housing and support
MAEM provides assistance with finding accommodation in Kyiv for mobility participants. We also offer support with:
- obtaining temporary residence permit;
- insurance and migration issues;
- adaptation to the academic environment.
Documents after completion of mobility
After successful completion of a semester or year of study you will receive:
- Transcript of Records indicating disciplines, ECTS credits and grades;
- Confirmation of Stay for your university.
Credits earned at MAEM can be transferred to your home HEI according to the Learning Agreement.
